STAND-ALONE GASHOLDERS
The TECON Stand-Alone Biogas Holder is a membrane gasholder installed on a concrete base and consists of an outer, an inner, and a bottom membrane. The actual biogas storage volume is in between the inner and the bottom membrane. The air blower provides the air pressure in between the inner and the outer membrane. The air and operating pressure are kept constant through a pressure regulation valve.
The constant air pressure is responsible for the shape of the outer membrane and ensures that the biogas holder can withstand wind and snow loads. The gas inlet and outlet pipes are located in the concrete base. The outer membrane has an inspection window that allows visual monitoring of the gas fill level. The accurate measurement of the fill level is provided by a laser level measurement system. The gasholder contains a safety valve as protection against excessive biogas pressure. The Stand-Alone Biogas Holder is used primarily for wastewater treatment plants and industrial applications.
